Dear WellsLink Family,

I am very pleased to announce that 47% of the 2008/2009 WLP cohort made the Dean’s List. As of today, May 27th, 2009, the WellsLink family has retained 100% of our first-year students. These figures of course have to be re-confirmed later in the fall so unless YOU or the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment (OIRA) informs me otherwise, I look forward to seeing ALL of you at the Transitions Ceremony on October 2nd, 4:00 p.m. at Hendricks Chapel.

The Transitions Ceremony acknowledges ALL students who have successfully transitioned to their second-year of college. Students who have achieved a 3.6 or higher GPA for the fall and spring semester combined will be awarded the Academic Achievement Award and Leadership Capital Certificates from the Center for Careers Services will be presented to students who completed 8 Leadership Capital Series workshops. The collective achievements of your WellsLink family plus the inspirational message delivered by the guest keynote speaker, will undoubtedly affirm the hard work of the award recipients but also remind and motivate the other WellsLink students and guests in the audience to recommit themselves to excellence, achievement and community uplift.

Please do not hesitate in contacting myself , Claudette or other OMA staff over the summer. Let us know how you are doing or how we can help. Summer office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Good-bye for now.

Tae-Sun Kim
