Mr. Deryck A. Palmer ’78, a Syracuse University trustee and co-chair of The Campaign for Syracuse, will be the keynote speaker at The WellsLink Leadership Program’s 6th Annual Transitions Ceremony on Friday, October 2nd at 4:00 p.m. at Hendricks Chapel. The event will be followed by a reception in the Noble Room.

Named after former senior vice president and dean of student affairs, Barry L. Wells, The WellsLink Leadership Program is a nationally award winning retention program for first-year students of color who are not affiliated with athletics or sponsored by a state or federal program.

The Transitions Ceremony recognizes the successful transitions of WellsLink first-year students to their second-year of college, while also highlighting recipients of the Academic Achievement Award and Capital Leadership Certificate. Other special guests include Barry L. Wells and Paul M. Buckley, founder of the WellsLink Leadership Program.
